This is because employees from four of our departments packed up their belongings and moved into our newly-acquired office building located right next door.
The new office was obtained to help re-organize our firm and provide a better service to our clients. Because of the ever-growing nature of our business, we began expanding in both our clientele and staff numbers, making the idea of having more space a necessity.
The addition of the new building not only provided more space for our clients (by making room for two additional conference rooms) but also more working area for our staff. For example, the majority of our Case Managers and Legal Secretaries moved into bigger, private offices with ample space for filing cabinets.
Prior to the move, many renovations (such as wiring the building for a new, intricate phone system) were being implemented a couple months in advance. Although moving entire workstations in one day was a challenge, having the major repairs and reconstruction done in advance helped the moving process go more smoothly.
The legal departments involved in the move included Worker’s Compensation, Medical Malpractice, Social Security Disability and our Litigation team. These individuals, plus a few others, totaled about 25 people moving in to the new location.
Very nice! Now you guys will look more like the Fantastic Group of Attorneys that you are!
ReplyDeletegreat post.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking that this largely unwitnessed migration will be good for not only staff moral but business; happy staff and more room for clients can only equal more and happier clients!
ReplyDeleteCongrats and best of luck.

ReplyDeleteI know what this is like. Moving a family of four is tough. Moving 25 employees is even tougher.
