Mayor's Backpack Give Away Program

Rue and Ziffra, P.A. helped contribute to the Mayor’s Annual Backpack Give Away Program in Daytona Beach. The event was hosted by the Church of God in Christ in the hopes of helping children and families in financial need receive school supplies.

Hundreds of people attended the event, and our firm contributed to the cause by donating lunchboxes, water bottles and pencils. Other companies from around Volusia County were also in attendance, coming together to provide school supplies and support for families in need. Free food and beverages were also available for all participants and visitors.

Volunteer Rue and Ziffra, P.A. employee, Paola Cupelli, helped to work our firm's booth and commented, “It was great meeting so many people and having such a large turnout.”

The giveaway was located on Martin Luther King Blvd in Daytona Beach on August 8, 2010.

  1. Truly noble cause. A lot of kids in Daytona don't have a lot of incentive to go to school as it is - not having decent supplies, or knowing they aren't going to have a decent meal doesn't help.

Thanks for this. Google +1'd and facebook shared it!

  2. I'm so glad to see a law firm who doesn't just work to protect their community but also fosters a better environment for children living in it to grow up in. Really hope you continue with this.

  3. I was pretty stunned to here that 3,500 backpacks (filled with school supplies, socks and underwear) were given away this year thanks to a huge corporate sponsor. Their is nothing that fortifies a community like corporate interests giving back, be they multinational corporations or not. victoria personal injury lawyer
